Fabo Let Off The Hook In Drug & Gun Charges

Tuesday, April 1, 2008

D4L front man Fabo has been exonerated for a host of charges stemming from a 2006 arrest, as his co-defendant accepted a gun and drug possession charges that could have landed the rapper in jail.

According to the Courier Herlald, the rapper (real name Lafabian Williams) was stopped while driving in February of '06 in Laurens County, South Carolina. He was charged with possession of marijuana and ecstasy, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and carrying a concealed weapon. Having already been a convicted felon, Fabo was also charged with possession of a firearm.

Now the co-defendant in the trial, Curtis Alfonso Watkins, Jr. pled guilty to the charges, ultimately exonerating his friend. Consequentially the district attorney's office decided not to prosecute Fabo.

Watkins pled guilty to the charges of drug possession and possession of a firearm. He received a sentence of 15 years of probation, court and state surcharges and fines totaling $3,700.
